Job Title: Transport Assistant 

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Location: London SE11 6NQ

Hours: 40 Hours per week.  10:00 – 18:00

To support our expansion we are looking to fill a number of office based roles and have an immediate requirement for a Transport Assistant.

You will initially undergo a training period to understand their vast product range. Once up to speed, you will be key in providing Transport Administrator will ensure that the daily operations run effectively at all times. You will provide ongoing support to our Transport Manager assisting with administration duties, fleet management, database control and be the first point of contact for the department.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Managing/updating vehicle databases both internal and external

· Liaising with engineers that arrive on site and handling any queries they have.

· Representing the transport department in communication with other internal departments

· Handover/Inspection of company vehicles prior to first use and on return to the company.

· Communication and support in managing Vehicle Hire companies

· Answering incoming calls to the transport team and providing first line service

· To follow any reasonable instructions given by a Line Managers.

· To ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.

· To keep the working area tidy and clear of rubbish.

· Ensure vehicle tracking is maintained and used where required.

· Providing support to the transport and workshop team on larger projects

· Ad Hoc Duties to support the transport team

Essential Requirements:

· Transport or fleet hiring experience

· PC literate with a working knowledge of Outlook, Word and PowerPoint and Excel

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to use their own initiative
  • Confident and professional
  • Flexible and adaptable with the willingness to take on different responsibilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
